2 Flores de izote
10 cups of Agua
2 tablespoons of Aceite
1 Diente de ajo
4 Tomates picados
1 Cebolla picada
1 pinch of Sal
1 pinch of Pimienta
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the flor de izote, first clean the flowers by removing the centers and pistils.
Step 2 : Then wash the petals in a pot with water and salt, and boil for 5 minutes.
Step 3 : Repeat this process twice to remove bitterness.
Step 4 : In a skillet with hot oil, fry the garlic, onion, and tomato.
Step 5 : Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6 : Next, add the petals of the flor de izote and boil the mixture for 3 minutes.
Step 7 : Finally, serve the flor de izote accompanied by the previous preparation.
