Ingredients

6 Sliced plantains

Oil

3 tablespoons of Sesame seeds

2 tablespoons of Pepitoria

1 ½ pound of Chopped tomatoes

1 Dried pasilla chili

8 ounces of Chocolate

1 Cinnamon stick

1 cup of Water

¼ cup of Sugar

2 Crackers (champurradas)

Preparation

Step 1 : To start, fry the plantain slices in hot oil until golden and crispy.

Step 2 : Meanwhile, in another pan, toast the sesame seeds and pepitoria until fragrant.

Step 3 : It is important to set them aside for later.

Step 4 : In a separate pot, heat the water and bring the tomatoes, chilies, and cinnamon to a boil for about 5 minutes.

Step 5 : Then blend the toasted seeds with the previous mixture of tomatoes, chilies, and crackers.

Step 6 : Once everything is well blended, strain the mixture and pour it into a clean pot.

Step 7 : It is time to add the chocolate to the mixture and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the chocolate has completely melted.

Step 8 : Next, add the fried plantain slices and cook for an additional 5 minutes to blend the flavors.

Step 9 : To serve, it is recommended to sprinkle sesame seeds on top to give it a final touch of flavor and presentation.
