Ingredients

20 squash leaves

400 grams white maize

5 tomatoes

60 grams miltomate

Salt to taste

Chili to taste

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the dough, cook the maize with a bit of lime, grind it, and mix it with salt.

Step 2 : Then knead until smooth.

Step 3 : If you don't have maize, you can use maize flour mixed with water and salt until you get a smooth dough.

Step 4 : Once the dough is ready, wash and spread the squash leaves.

Step 5 : On each leaf, place a bit of dough and roll it up.

Step 6 : Subsequently, steam cook for 30 minutes.

Step 7 : On the other hand, cook the tomatoes and miltomate, strain, and mix with ground squash seed to make a Guatemalan-style sauce.

Step 8 : To serve, place the cooked boxboles in a deep plate and add the prepared Guatemalan sauce.
