2 cups of Flour
1 tablespoon of Sugar
1 tablespoon of Salt
1 tablespoon of Dry yeast
¾ cup of Water
Vegetable shortening
Preparation
Step 1 : In a bowl, mix the 2 cups of flour with the salt.
Step 2 : Add the yeast previously dissolved in half a cup of water.
Step 3 : Then, add the vegetable shortening and mix everything very well.
Step 4 : Proceed to knead the mixture, adding more flour as needed.
Step 5 : Let the dough rest in a covered container.
Step 6 : Form balls with the dough and let them rest.
Step 7 : Then, shape the 'pirujos' and allow them to rise for a few minutes.
Step 8 : Brush with water and bake at 360 degrees for 45 minutes.
Step 9 : Next, increase the temperature to 400 degrees for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
