Guatemalan Corn Bread
Ingredients
500 grams of Cooked corn
1 teaspoon of Vanilla essence
200 milliliters of Condensed milk
2 Eggs
40 grams of Butter
200 grams of Flour
Powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1 : In a blender glass, add the eggs, vanilla essence, and condensed milk, beat until you get a homogeneous paste.
Step 2 : Add the shelled and cooked corn, beat again.
Step 3 : Incorporate the butter and beat until obtaining a consistent and smooth dough.
Step 4 : Add the sifted flour and mix until all the ingredients are evenly integrated.
Step 5 : Preheat the oven to 180°C, with heat from top and bottom.
Step 6 : While the oven heats up, pour the batter into an oven-safe container and bake for approximately 50 minutes.
Step 7 : To check if it is cooked, prick the cake with a fork or toothpick, and if it comes out dry, remove it from the oven.
Step 8 : To finish, you can decorate the cake by sprinkling a little powdered sugar on top or serve it with jam on the surface.
