Ingredients
8 Pieces of chicken
3 teaspoons of Salt
3 Chopped garlic cloves
1 Onion
3 tablespoons of Corn oil
1 Green bell pepper
12 ounces of Tomatillos
1 teaspoon of Ground black pepper
½ cup of Chopped cilantro
½ cup of Chopped parsley
2 tablespoons of Pre-cooked corn masa
Preparation
Step 1 : Place the chicken in a pot with 2 quarts of water and 2 teaspoons of salt, boil over medium heat until tender.
Step 2 : In a skillet with hot oil, brown garlic, onion, pepper, and tomatillos, then blend them with chicken broth and purée of cilantro and parsley.
Step 3 : Add the cooked chicken to the purée and broth, cooking over low heat until tender.
Step 4 : Thicken the sauce with masa or bread, cooking until the desired consistency is reached.
Step 5 : Finally, serve and enjoy the delicious Guatemalan Jocón.
