Baked Chicken and Rice
Ingredients
½ kilogram of Chicken
2 cups of Rice
5 cups of Chicken broth
1 Onion
2 Garlic cloves
4 Cloves
1 Meat chorizo
6 Blood sausage slices
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare this delicious recipe, start by cutting the onions in half and adding two garlic cloves.
Step 2 : In a skillet, place the onion, chorizo, and chopped chicken and let the chicken brown completely.
Step 3 : After cooking the chicken for at least 25 minutes, add a cup of chicken broth and cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 4 : Then place this mixture in a separate container and let it cool.
Step 5 : Shred the chicken and cut the chorizo into slices.
Step 6 : In a pot, bring 4 cups of chicken broth to a boil.
Step 7 : Add the rice and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 8 : If you feel there is too much broth, you can drain some, but the rice should have some liquid to not dry out too much during baking, where it will complete its cooking.
Step 9 : Mix the rice with the shredded chicken.
Step 10 : In a baking tray, place the blood sausage slices at the bottom and distribute the chicken and rice on top.
Step 11 : Place the meat chorizo slices on top and season with a little more pepper.
Step 12 : Bake in the oven until golden brown on top.
