Guatemalan Rice
Ingredients
2 cups of Raw rice
4 cups of Chicken or beef
2 tablespoons of Peanut oil
1 cup of Vegetables (carrots, celery, bell peppers and peas)
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the rice, sauté in oil until it has absorbed the oil, without changing color.
Step 2 : Next, add the vegetables, salt and pepper to taste along with 4 cups of broth.
Step 3 : Bring the mixture to a boil, cover the pot, reduce the heat and cook for about 20 minutes, until the liquid has been absorbed.
