Ingredients

8 Chicken pieces

3 teaspoons of Salt

3 Chopped garlic cloves

1 Onion

3 tablespoons of Corn oil

1 Green bell pepper

12 ounces of Tomatillos

1 teaspoon of Ground black pepper

½ cup of Chopped cilantro

½ cup of Chopped parsley

2 tablespoons of Precooked corn masa

Preparation

Step 1 : The chicken is placed in a pot with 2 quarts of water and 2 teaspoons of salt, boiling over medium heat until tender.

Step 2 : In a skillet with hot oil, garlic, onion, bell pepper, and tomatillos are browned, then mixed with chicken broth and a puree of cilantro and parsley.

Step 3 : Add the cooked chicken to the puree and broth, cooking over low heat until tender.

Step 4 : Thicken the sauce with masa or bread, cooking until reaching the desired consistency.

Step 5 : Finally, serve and enjoy the delicious Guatemalan jocón.
