Ingredients

120 grams of Rice

1 Bunch of chipilin

3 Medium tomatoes

1 Medium onion, diced

3 Cloves of garlic

2 cups of Water

15 milliliters of Vegetable oil

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious dish, first wash the rice well and drain it.

Step 2 : Then, wash the tomatoes, peel them, and finely chop them.

Step 3 : Next, remove the leaves from the chipilin branches and cook the leaves with enough water and salt until they are soft.

Step 4 : Once ready, remove the water.

Step 5 : Afterward, chop the garlic and fry it with a little oil, then add the onion and then the tomato, placing this sauté over the already cooked chipilin.

Step 6 : Next, sauté the rice with a little oil and add it to the previously cooked chipilin.

Step 7 : Add the 2 cups of water and cook for 15 to 20 minutes over low heat, covered with aluminum foil or a steam vent lid.

Step 8 : Season with a little salt and when the rice is well cooked, remove from heat and serve.
